SIBV supporting the Masters Football match between Barossa and Gawler & Districts. The fellows looked great in their black socks – both teams with the White Ribbon logo! Spreading the message of no tolerance of violence against women. In 2018 the Gawler Districts AFL Masters footy club will stage their 3rd annual White Ribbon Round where players on both teams wear “I Swear” socks for the game as a sign of unity against mens violence towards women. The teams also swear the White Ribbon Oath. Community projects such as this are so important in the process of change. Acknowledgement goes to The Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast Foundation and their grants committee who supported our project and of course the the wonderful Gawler Districts AFL Masters footy club.
