Soroptimist International Port Pirie Club recruited 8 new members in the past year.
Senior member, Jenny Hughes expressed her delight about this increase.
“This has been the largest number of new members in any Australian Soroptimist Club during this period” she said. “The most promising thing about it is that many of the new members are young students, from universities and local secondary schools.
Jenny has been a member for over 40 years and has held office in her Club, the South Australian Region and the South East Asia Pacific Federation (when it was known as the Federation of the South West Pacific).
